A Waterbury resident recently purchased a winning ticket at an area business, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

WATERBURY, CT β€” A Waterbury resident is $100,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket at an area business, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The $100,000 winning "Powerball" ticket was drawn Friday. The ticket was sold at Wheels #196 in Milford, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The Connecticut Lottery furnishes winner information as public record.
