New Canaan police reported this week the theft of a ring from a Smith Ridge Road home-valued at approximately $57,000.
According to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc, a 49-year-old woman reported she noticed a diamond ring missing from her home at approximately 9:47 a.m. on June 26.
She reported to police that she had last seen the ring on the morning of the 24th, but had hosted a party in her home on the 25th with more than 100 guests.
Ogrinc said the ring, valued at $57,250, had a diamond in excess of 3.5-carats and had multiple smaller diamonds surrounding it.
