
It looks like the weather for the week kicks off with highs in the 70s and lows in the 80s with thunderstorms predicted for Wednesday and Thursday, according to weather.com.
The Porcellis, a Port Chester family, will hold their 7th annual "Lemonade for Leukemia" on August 10th to raise a goal of $5,000 for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This is way more than a "lemonade sale." The family will continue their tradition of raffles, baked goodies, limited-edition t-shirts and a kids craft table, and a Slip-n-Slide "for the kids and daring adults."
In city government, the Town Hall Building Committee Meeting, Zoning Board of Appeals and Utilities Commission meetings all scheduled for Monday were canceled. The Board of Selectmen meeting is still currently scheduled for Tuesday.
The Silvermine Arts Center has drumming workshops and costume workshops scheduled for the third annual Silvermine ArtsFest this week on Thursday and Friday.
