New Canaan Woman, 24, Charged with Selling Heroin After Police Raid Home

New Canaan police executed a search and seizure warrant at 73 River St., where the woman was arrested.

A 24-year-old New Canaan woman sold narcotics to an undercover police officer on two different occasions, resulting in a raid on her home on March 2 and her arrest, town police said.

The officer bought narcotics from Elizabeth Hanson of 73 River St. as part of an “extensive investigation into the illegal sale of narcotics and controlled substances from that address,” according to an announcement made by Police Chief Leon Krolikowski.

In a search of the house, police found a small amount of heroin and empty bags containing heroin residue in Hanson’s bedroom.
