Verbal Fight in Front of New Canaan Starbucks Leads to Arrest

A Milford man was arrested last week on breach of peace charges after causing a disruption out front of an Elm Street coffee shop, police said Monday. 

According to Sgt. John DiFederico, a verbal dispute was reported out front of the Starbucks at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30. Reportedly, the man, identified as Mark Blum, 35, of 5 Dixon Street in Milford, was creating a disturbance out front of the store when confronted by the manager. 

After the pair began fighting, police were contacted. The suspect was picked up by police a short time later and charged with breach of peace. He was released on a Promise To Appear and given a court date of August 12, 2013.
