18-Year-Old Shot, Wounded, Late Wednesday Night: Police
Taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, medical personnel told police the teen sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the shoulder: PD.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Just before midnight Wednesday, police got a report of a gunshot victim in the area of Rock Creek Road, according to Sgt. Cherelle Carr. When cops got there, they found an 18-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound, she said. Taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, medical personnel told police the teen sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the shoulder, Carr said.
Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit and Bureau of Identification responded to the scene to
collected evidence, searched for surveillance footage and spoke with potential witnesses, Carr said.
Based on "conflicting statements," Carr said, the "incident location is undetermined," but an "active investigation is underway."
