NEW HAVEN, CT — Two people were killed during a three-vehicle crash early Saturday, police said. At 1:52 a.m., police responded to the area of Middletown and Barnes avenues for a reported three-vehicle crash. Police said officers saw a silver Hyundai with heavy front-end damage, a silver Infiniti with heavy front-end damage, and a grey Ford with minor front-end damage on Middletown Avenue slightly south of Barnes Avenue. Numerous occupants in the vehicles were taken by ambulance to Yale-New Haven Hospital for injuries ranging from life-threatening to minor, police said. A passenger of the Hyundai was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person also died later on Saturday. Police said that Dajsha Knight, 21, of New Haven and Madysin Hilker, 19 of West Haven, were killed in the crash. Police are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 203-946-6304 or leave an anonymous tip at 866-888-8477.
