27-Year-Old Stabbed After Argument In CT: Police

A 66-year-old who knew the victim is charged in the attack, according to police.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A West Haven man was stabbed overnight in the wake of an arguement, according to New Haven police.

Officers responded around 1:45 a.m. Sunday to Ellsworth Avenue and Elm Street, where the 27-year-old was being treated by medical personnel, according to police, who said the man was taken to a hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police took 66-year-old Bruce McCauley of New Haven, who knew the victim, into custody, authorities said. McCauley was found in a nearby apartment, according to police. He was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace and interfering with an officer, according to police, who said his bond is set at $76,000.
