VIDEO: Calling It Animal Cruelty, Shelter Seeks ID Of Person Seen Throwing Away Box With Living Cat Inside
Now named Stuart, he was taken in at the New Haven Animal Shelter, where he has received medical attention and appears to be in good health.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Early Tuesday morning, a person who appears to be a woman is seen on video taking a box from a car, and then throwing it onto the snowy ground — the box topples over, video shows — alongside a fence behind an undisclosed building in New Haven, the animal shelter reported.
Inside the box was a living black cat.
The Robin I. Kroogman New Haven Animal Shelter is investigating the "incident of animal cruelty" and seeks information that leads to the woman's identity.
