2M-Plus Have Flown On Avelo At Tweed Since It Took Off Nov. 2021
The celebration was punctuated by the airline's announcement that it added Atlanta and Charlotte to its destinations from Tweed-New Haven.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Last week, Avelo Airlines celebrated flying two million customers in Southern Connecticut as the airline took off with nonstop service from Tweed-New Haven Airport to Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and Charlotte’s Concord-Padgett Regional Airport.
Avelo is the first and only airline offering nonstop service from both Atlanta and Charlotte to Southern Connecticut, the airline noted in a news release.
"We are excited to offer Southern Connecticut residents even more travel options with today’s additions of Atlanta and Charlotte," Avelo Airlines Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy said.

The airline currently has 25 nonstop destinations out of New Haven.
Since Avelo took flight Nov. 3, 2021, it's noted that the two million-plus travelers have flown through HVN on over 15,000 flights.

The addition of Atlanta and Charlotte comes after the airline began flying to San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Atlanta flights will operate four times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The Charlotte flights will operate this route initially twice-weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. Beginning June 14, Avelo will double its flights to four times weekly with the addition of Mondays and Fridays.
