43-Year-Old Killed In Motorcycle Crash: New Haven Police

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A motorcyclist died in a two-vehicle crash Saturday near downtown New Haven, according to police.

Authorities identified the deceased as Michael Borelli, 43, of New Haven.

Officers responded around 2:30 p.m. to Chapel and Union streets, and Borelli was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the other vehicle, a Chevrolet Malibu, stayed at the scene, according to police, who said the Malibu was traveling west on Chapel Street and was turning left onto Union Street as the motorcycle traveled east on Chapel Street, colliding with the front of the Malibu.
