NEW HAVEN, CT — Don't let the rainy, gray skies and 60+ degree temps. Rest assured that summer is on the horizon. And that means "tons of free and low-cost kids activities and programs across the city" set for this summer.
There's 'Movies in the Park,' 'Family Fun Days,' the 'Summer Fun Bus,' sports clinics, myriad summer camps, splash pads and open swims, and outdoor adventures including canoeing, kayaking, hikes, and tours of historical landmarks. There's also arts and cultural programs, academic, tutoring and enrichment programs, youth employment opportunities and more.
The city has put a guide that includes "as many of them as possible" to help kids with "plenty of opportunities to stay active, busy, engaged and learning."

From art to performing arts, eco-adventures to midnight basketball, there's something for every kid. The camps, generally two week sessions save the last session, a week-long camp that ends Aug. 8. Camps are held across the city in parks, schools, fields, and gyms. Camps are open for kids as young as 5 with 14 the eldest, though no high school students are eligible.
