"Skappo will close its doors Saturday, December 20, 2025. We just had to say it….oof…but…how do you begin to put 21 years in a couple paragraphs?! With one word, as Mamma said, GRAZIE. Thank you."

"Thank you for supporting our dream. Thank you for bringing us your most joyful celebrations to the simplest of nights out. Thank you for welcoming our family into your hearts, as we welcomed you into our home. Thank you for your smiles, the warm hugs, the moments that made Skappo special. There are truly no words to express how grateful we are for all of you. These past 21 years have flown by, but each one has held such meaning and an immense feeling of gratitude. We may have fed your bellies, but you all filled our souls and our spirits. To watching our families grow, as you tell us about yours, to joining in on a dinner or stopping by for a chat and a glass of wine. Our whole family (not only the 5 of us, but our spouses and children) again, thank you, thank you, a million times, thank you for what you have given us for we feel incredibly blessed to have known you all, built friendships and extended our family. And some may ask why, so please note, this is not because of any hardship, nor disagreements; we felt it best when we were all still able, when we still loved our little corner of Crown street, when our evenings at Skappo were always a celebration, was when it was best."
There's light at the end of the tunnel, though.
"This is not the end of our journey. We have exciting things on the horizon," Skappo shared, and asked folks to "keep in contact."
"Please sign up for our newsletter list to stay in touch with the Skappo family and what the future holds for us. God bless you forever, the Skappo family."
"In the meantime, join us and raise a glass in the weeks that follow, to all that Skappo means, stands for and embodies, as Mamma has always said, to celebrate life," the eatery wrote. "Salute! With all our love, Anna, Tom, Michael, Yvette & Marc."
