Arrested On 6 Warrants, New Haven Man, 34, Faces Firearm Charge: PD

NEW HAVEN, CT — Tuesday, the New Haven Police Department Criminal Intelligence Unit located a man who had half a dozen outstanding warrant, according to police spokesperson Officer Christian Bruckhart.

Richard Ware, 34, had six outstanding warrant arrest warrants, including for assault, illegal firearms and failing to appear in court stemming from charges in New Haven and Branford, Bruckhart said.

During a search warrant execution of Ware's Winchester Avenue apartment, Bruckhart said officers found a handgun and around $7,000 in cash under his mattress. In addition to the warrants, Ware was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, police said.
