Avelo Adds South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee To Flight Lineup
The airline has expanded its flights out of Tweed New Haven Airport to include destinations beyond Florida, it announced Wednesday.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Travelers out of Tweed New Haven Airport can now catch a flight to four southern destinations outside of Florida.
Avelo Airlines has expanded its Tweed service to include nonstop flights to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Charleston, South Carolina; Savannah, Georgia/Hilton Head, South Carolina; and Nashville, Tennessee, the airline announced Wednesday.
The flights will begin on May 5, and they'll make Avelo the only airline to offer nonstop service between Connecticut and Savannah, officials said in a news release.

"Our customers are telling us they would love for Avelo to fly to more places beyond Florida," said Andrew Levy, Avelo Airlines Chairman and CEO. "These four new routes show we're listening."
Officials first hinted at the expansion last Friday, during a press conference that covered Avelo's first 100 days at Tweed.
