Body Found Floating In River ID'd As 37-Year-Old New Haven Woman: PD
Tuesday cops got a report that a body was floating in the Quinnipiac; NHFD rescue found her on a river embankment near James & River streets

NEW HAVEN, CT — It was just before 8 a.m. Tuesday when police said they received a report that a body was seen floating in the water of the Quinnipiac River near Brewery Square.
Members of the New Haven Fired Department recuse team found the woman's body on a river embankment near James and River streets, police said.
Police said on "X," that while she had no identification, detectives identified her as Shannon Arrington, 37, of New Haven. Police then made a next of kin notification, they said.

The Office of the State Medical Examiner removed Arrington's body for an autopsy, police said, to determine her cause and manner of death.
Police ask that anyone with information call investigators at 203-946-6304.
