The keynote speaker will be Dr. Eric Handler, co-founder of the Waste Not Orange County Coalition, which is a public/private partnership created to reduce hunger and solid waste by facilitating the donation of wholesome surplus food.
Dr. Handler also helped develop a mobile app that can be used to connect food pantries that collect food for the hungry with those restaurants, caterers, private parties and other outlets that have excess food they don’t want to go to waste.
