City Officials to Preview Winter Weather Operations During Dry Run Tomorrow
New Haves emergency operators will convene for revised, upgraded snow clearing and removal operations.

The city’s emergency operations directors and staff will convene Wednesday morning for a ‘dry run’ of revised, upgraded snow clearing and removal operations. Once again this year, New Haven has new equipment and new strategies ‘ready to roll’ at the first sign of harsh winter weather.
Wednesday morning’s ‘dry run’ – including power outages and more as a result of simulated severe conditions – will be held in the city’s Emergency Operations Center – 200 Orange Street – beginning at 9:00 a.m.; members of the press corps are invited to cover this timely event.

City officials will place a special emphasis this year on communication and cooperation with residents and business owners.
