FHCHC CEO Dr. Suzanne Lagarde receives leadership award

Fair Haven Community Health Care (FHCHC) is pleased to announce that CEO Dr. Suzanne Lagarde has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Kim A. Healey Leadership Award, presented by the New Alliance Foundation. The award honors the legacy of Kim A. Healey, who led the New Alliance Foundation for more than 20 years. Under her leadership, the Foundation became a driving force behind efforts to strengthen New Haven by championing organizations that expand learning, support strong and connected communities, and confront the barriers that hold residents back. The award established in her name recognizes leaders whose work echoes those values and contributes to a more just and thriving city.

This is only the third time the Kim A. Healey Leadership Award has been presented. Previous honorees include Erik Clemons, CEO of ConnCAT, and Allyx Schiavone, Executive Director of Friends Center for Children - two visionary leaders whose work has had lasting impact in New Haven. Dr. Lagarde is honored to join their company.

“I am deeply humbled by this recognition,” said Dr. Lagarde. “To receive an award bearing Kim’s name, knowing the decades she’s devoted to strengthening our community, is profoundly meaningful. I share this honor with the entire FHCHC team, whose dedication to our patients inspires me every day.”

Dr. Lagarde has led FHCHC since 2013, guiding the organization through significant growth and enhancements in care delivery. Her leadership has expanded access to high-quality, compassionate services for thousands of New Haven residents.

FHCHC extends its sincere thanks to the New Alliance Foundation, to Kim Healey, and to the Foundation’s board and staff for this prestigious honor and for their continued investment in organizations that serve and support our neighbors.
