Cops Investigate Tuesday Double Shooting, Then Stabbing In Hill: NHPD
Around 6 p.m., a double shooting in near Rosette and Cedar streets left two New Haven men, one 19, the other 20, in critical condition: PD.

NEW HAVEN, CT — New Haven police responded to two incidents in the Hill Tuesday, one a double-shooting and the other, a couple of hours later, a stabbing.
At 6 p.m., Tuesday, police posted on "X," that officers were on scene with a double shooting in the Hill neighborhood area of Rosette and Cedar streets.
Early Wednesday afternoon, police said they were alerted to the Tuesday double-shooting after multiple 911 callers reported a person had been shot. When cops got to the area of Rosette and Cedar, they found a 20-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Rushed to Yale New Haven Hospital by ambulance, he underwent emergency surgery and is in critical condition, police said.

Not long after arriving at the crime scene, cops learned a second shooting victim, a 19-year-old New Haven resident, arrived by private vehicle at the hospital. He, too, underwent emergency surgery and is also listed in critical condition.
Police said that a "suspect vehicle has been identified, and ballistic evidence was located."

The same night, just two hours after responding to the shooting, at 8 p.m., officers responded to a stabbing victim at Liberty and Carlisle streets. Police said that the victim’s injuries did "not appear life-threatening."
