CT Comptroller Scanlon to Present Economic Outlook

Amity Chamber Business Symposium and Expo, July 30th

(Amity Chamber of Commerce)

The Honorable Sean Scanlon, State of Connecticut Comptroller, will be presenting Connecticut's 2025 Economic Outlook at the Amity Chamber of Commerce Business Symposium & Expo, on July 30th at Yale West Campus, 100 West Campus Drive, Orange, beginning at 3:30 pm.

Specifically, Mr. Scanlon will provide an overview of the July/August "Letter of the First," which is a monthly financial report of Connecticut’s economy. The presentation will include information on Connecticut’s labor market, housing market, projections of the General Fund, Special Transportation Fund, and Budget Reserve Fund.

Scanlon will also discuss the MyCTSavings program. The program was created to serve the more than 600,000 Connecticut private-sector workers who do not have a retirement savings plan offered through their employer. It’s easy, free, and comes at no cost to employers or employees.

Moderated by Jorge Santiago, President and CEO of The Milford Bank, the panel will feature professionals from various sectors of the financial industry who will share their insights on what businesses should review during these uncertain economic times.

The Amity Chamber Business Symposium and Expo runs from 3:30 pm- 7:00 pm, with the Symposium being held from 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm, directly followed by the Expo, which will run until 7:00 pm. Both the symposium and the expo are free and open to the public. Seating is limited; attendees are encouraged to register in advance.
