Downtown New Haven Bank Robbery Wednesday Being Investigated: PD
A ski-mask wearing man walked into the bank around 1:40 p.m., said he had a gun, which was not seen, and fled with cash down College St.: PD

NEW HAVEN, CT — Wednesday afternoon, a ski-mask wearing man walked into Liberty Bank on College Street, told a teller he had a gun, and fled with cash, police said.
According to a post by New Haven police on social media, it was 1:40 p.m. when, according to witnesses, police said, a man wearing a ski mask, glasses and wearing a gray sweatshirt walked into the bank, approached the counter and told bank staff he had a firearm, though none was seen.
After getting an undisclosed amount of cash handed, he fled on foot down College Street towards Crown Street, police said. There were no injuries reported.

New Haven police detectives responded to the bank, spoke with witnesses and gathered security footage.
