'Eat Like a Local' During New Haven Restaurant Week, April 16-21

From Atelier Florian, a Belgian eatery to Zinc New Haven, a seasonal American restaurant, literally A to Z, foodie fest includes 24 venues.

NEW HAVEN, CT — New Haven Restaurant Week, a regionally regarded foodie event, returns April 16-21, 2023 with city-wide dining deals. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the popular bi-annual event, returning each spring and fall to reconnect residents with Connecticut’s most vibrant city over plates and coupe glasses. The program invites visitors and locals alike to sample an array of eateries that make up the New Haven culinary scene.

Twenty-four local restaurants will take part in New Haven Restaurant Week 2023 across eight distinct neighborhoods. New to the roost this spring are Restaurants new to the promotion this spring include 9 Squared, 80 Proof, Il Gabbiano, and John Davenport’s. Participating restaurants will offer an exclusive two-course lunch for $25, and three-course dinners for $45 and $55 per person.

“This year, we’re inviting diners to ‘eat like a local,’ at some of our most beloved restaurants,” says Bruno Baggetta, Director for Market New Haven, Inc., downtown’s destination marketing organization. “Our goal this year is to spotlight the culinary excellence that is on plates across tables in every neighborhood of New Haven. Every cross street in New Haven offers something totally unique, and each neighborhood is home to five-star eateries. We’re thrilled to prove that, for the 15th year, New Haven has a scene for every foodie.”

New Haven Restaurant Week is the state of Connecticut’s first and longest-running organized restaurant week program. Established in 2008, by Market New Haven, Inc., the program was developed as a creative way for residents and visitors to discover the culinary excellence of downtown’s dining scene at discounted prices. Over the past 15 years, New Haven Restaurant Week has evolved while maintaining its commitment to giving visitors and residents the opportunity to experience the very best quality and variety offered by participating restaurants.

While in town, folks will find no shortage of things to do between meals. From the city’s many museums and galleries, to the unique shops and boutiques, New Haven is a well-rounded and lively destination for those traveling across the state or the country.

For visiting diners, The Shops at Yale will offer free 2-hour parking with a same-day paper receipt for $50 or more from any participating restaurant. Parking lots are located at 255 Crown Street and 56 Broadway. Offer is applicable April 16-21, 2023. Additionally, Park New Haven will offer a $5 parking rate during lunch in the Crown Street and Temple Street Garages. Offer is applicable April 16-21 between 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Due to the promotion’s appeal and high-demand year-over-year, patrons are strongly encouraged to make reservations in advance and check restaurants’ websites for exact pricing and menus.
