Fair Haven Thursday Night Shooting Of Man, 45, Being Investigated: PD

Around 6 p.m., cops went to ​Woolsey and Poplar streets, where they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds sitting on "front steps:" PD.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Thursday night around 6 p.m., cops were called to Woolsey and Poplar streets in Fair Haven following 911 calls about a person shot, police wrote on "X."

When patrol officers arrived, they found a 45-year-old man who'd been shot sitting on the front steps of a house nearby. He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

A crime scene was located at a residence close to where the victim was found, police wrote. Investigators got a search warrant for the house and detectives "interviewed the victim and people involved," police wrote.
