Fatal Shooting Leads To Arrest Of Clinton Man: New Haven Police

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 47-year-old Clinton man has been charged with murder following a fatal shooting in New Haven Thursday morning.

According to the New Haven Police Department, at 11:06 a.m. officers were called to 270 Forbes Ave. and found a man who'd been shot.

The man, identified as 39-year-old Juan Carlos Colon of East Hartford, was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he died a short time later.

After conducting interviews and collecting evidence, New Haven police detectives arrested Charles V. Brown and charged him with murder, criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit.

He was arraigned in court on Friday and is being held on $2 million bail.
