NEW HAVEN, CT — Friday night around 9:30 p.m. cops said they chased a car that was "potentially involved" in a Bridgeport homicide ending in the Cedar Hill neighborhood when the vehicle hit a number of parked cars and the driver took off.
According to a post on "X," officers tried to stop the car in the area of Spring and Button streets when it fled. A pursuit ensued, police said, and when the car crashed, the driver took off on foot, running into nearby backyards. Police said they "set up a perimeter" and utilized K-9, drone operators and SWAT, but were "unsuccessful in locating the operator." A passenger, however, was held for Bridgeport detectives, who also "took custody" of the vehicle.
