Gateway Community College Foundation Raises Over $108,000 at Annual Hall of Fame Celebration

The Gateway Community College Foundation proudly hosted its 28th annual Hall of Fame celebration, honoring individuals and organizations.

On Thursday, October 23, the Gateway Community College Foundation proudly hosted its 28th annual Hall of Fame celebration, honoring individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to student success and the Greater New Haven community.

The event brought together alumni, donors, community leaders, and friends of CT State Community College Gateway for an evening dedicated to recognizing excellence and advancing opportunity through education.
This year’s honorees included Pastor Harold Brooks ’89, Beulah Heights First Pentecostal Church (Alumni Award); Dr. Alice Forrester, CEO, Clifford Beers Community Health Partners (Community Honoree); and Jeff LeClair, Education Manager, Subaru University of New England (Corporate Honoree). John DeStefano, Jr., New Haven’s 49th and longest-serving Mayor was recognized with the Foundation's Lion Award for outstanding advocacy on behalf of Gateway students.
Through the generosity of sponsors, guests, and supporters, the Hall of Fame raised $108,001. The proceeds will directly benefit Gateway students through scholarships and emergency assistance.
The Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to all who contributed to this year’s successful celebration and to those who continue to champion access, equity, and educational opportunity at CT State Gateway. Special thanks to the local restaurants that participated: CT State Gateway Culinary Program, Union League, The Luke Brasserie and Bar, Camacho garage, Freixenet Mionetto USA, Anaya Sushi, CastIron Chef, Rocky D's Rib Shack, Zin Globally Inspired Cuisine and Amarante's Sea Cliff.
