Gunpoint Robbery Of Apple AirPods Investigated In New Haven: Police
The victim arranged the sale on Offer Up, and was approached by two young males Saturday night, police say.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A person was robbed of his Apple AirPods in New Haven on Saturday night, police said.
He posted the equipment on Offer Up and agreed to meet a prospective buyer at around 6:15 p.m. on Harper Avenue and South Genesee Street, and he was told to meet them behind the building, according to police. When he got there, he was approached by two young males, one of whom pointed a gun at him, and demanded the equipment, police said.
He was not injured, according to police.

In light of the robbery, the police said investigators want to remind the public to use public, well-lit places when engaging in similar transactions. Investigators say the department's headquarters at 1 Union Avenue can be used as such a venue.
