Life-Threatening Injuries Reported In Crash: New Haven Police
Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision.

NEW HAVEN, CT — One person suffered life-threatening injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision, police said.
At 9:19 p.m. Friday, the New Haven Police Department was notified of a motor vehicle collision with major injuries at the intersection of Sherman Parkway and Goffe Street, police said. Upon arrival, officers located a two-vehicle collision involving a Tan Chevrolet Equinox and a Gray Mazda 6 Sport which rolled-over, police said.
The New Haven Fire Department and American Medical Response personnel immediately responded to the scene to render aid. The operators of the motor vehicle were transported via ambulance to Yale New Haven Hospital for further medical treatment. There were no other occupants in either vehicle involved in the crash.

Medical personnel informed officers that the operator of the Gray Mazda suffered from life-threatening injuries and is currently in critical condition, police said.
The New Haven Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team was activated and spoke to witnesses on scene and searched for surveillance video footage.

"Preliminary investigation determined the Gray Mazda struck the Tan Chevrolet as it was making a left turn on to Goffe Street from Sherman Parkway," police said in a news release. "The operator of the Gray Mazda is currently in critical condition. The investigators will continue to conduct interviews and gather all information before a report is finalized."
