UPDATE: Man, 33, Robbed, Shot Overnight Wednesday In Dixwell: Police

It was around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, when cops were called to Munson and Ashmun streets for a report of a shooting.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police were called to the Dixwell neighborhood overnight for the report of a shooting, officials posted to "X."

It was around 1:30 a.m., when cops went to the area of Munson and Ashmun streets and found a gunshot victim, they said. The 33-year-old man suffered what cops said were non-life threatening injuries.

In an update late Wednesday, police said the man went to Yale police headquarters to "ask for help," telling cops he'd been robbed, then shot. The man was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds, police said.
