Man Dies, Person Injured In Chapel Street Car Crash
The crash took place at the intersection of Chapel Street and Central Avenue Monday afternoon, multiple news outlets reported.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A man has died and a second person was hospitalized after a car crash in New Haven Monday afternoon, multiple news outlets reported.
Shortly before 12:15 p.m., the crash took place in the intersection of Chapel Street and Central Avenue, WTNH reported.
A Ford minivan and a black Honda sedan were involved, and the driver of one car "T-boned" the other in the intersection, the New Haven Independent reported.

A fire crew extricated the Honda's driver from his car, the New Haven Independent said, but according to WTNH he was pronounced dead at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Police have not yet released the man's name.

The driver of the minivan was also taken to YNNH and is in stable condition, WTNH said.
New Haven police's accident reconstruction team has begun investigating the crash, and the New Haven Independent said police are expected to release more details later.
