Man Fatally Electrocuted On Yale Golf Course Thursday, United Illuminating Official Confirmed

The man was a land management company worker who was electrocuted and died from downed live wires, it's reported.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A man was fatally electrocuted after coming in contact with a live, downed wire on the Yale University Golf Course early Thursday night, United Illuminating and city officials confirmed.

"Our deepest sympathies are with those impacted by the tragic accident at the Yale Golf Course yesterday evening," said UI spokesperson Sarah Wall Fliotsos in an email to Patch.

"We are committed to working closely with city officials and others as they continue their investigations into the incident," she said.

There was at press time no further information available from officials.

According to reporting, the man was an Eastern Land Management worker. The company is a Commercial Landscape Management business serving Connecticut and New York.
