Man Gets Prison Term For Selling Fentanyl On Supervised Release: Feds

After release for a previous federal drug conviction, the 25-year-old of New Haven, while under supervision, sold fentanyl, crack: Feds.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 25-year-old New Haven man was sentenced to prison term for dealing Fentanyl and crack while on federal supervised release, Marc H. Silverman, Acting U.S. Attorney for Connecticut, announced.

Zaquawn Arrington will serve 14 months in a federal lock-up, and upon release, will have three years of supervised release, for drug distribution and for violating the conditions of his supervised release that followed a prior federal conviction, Silverman said in a Justice Department news release.

According to the U.S. Attorney, court documents and statements made in court, in April 2022, Arrington began serving a three-year term of supervised release, which followed a federal conviction for a crack cocaine distribution offense. Between October and December 2022, investigators made controlled purchases of fentanyl and crack cocaine from Arrington and his associates, Silverman noted.

Arrington, arrested in February 2023, pleaded guilty a year later. he's been held in jail since January when his bond was revoked, Silverman said.

The FBI New Haven Safe Streets/Gang Task Force and the New Haven Police Department investigated, according to Justice.
