Man Robbed At Gunpoint By Two Armed Suspects, Cash, Jewelry Taken: PD

At 8 p.m. Thursday, the victim was to meet an "acquaintance" at Congress Ave. and Hallock St. and was robbed by two people at gunpoint: PD.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Thursday night, a man meeting an "acquaintance," in the area of Hallock Street and Congress Avenue was robbed at gunpoint by two people with firearms, police said.

It was around 8 p.m., when cops were summoned to an armed robbery call. The victim told police that he was meeting someone and when that person arrived, they both went into a building and once inside and on the second floor, the "acquaintance" displayed a handgun and held it to the victim's stomach.

Then another person, also armed with a handgun, appeared and pointed the gun at the victim, police said. They then robbed the victim of cash, jewelry and "other items," before fleeing, according to a police post on "X."

The victim was not injured, police said.
