Man Shot In New Haven, Suffered Life-Threatening Injuries
A 31-year-old man has been hospitalized in critical condition after he was shot on Ferry Street in New Haven, police said.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A 31-year-old man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after he was shot in New Haven Thursday morning.
New Haven police received multiple reports of the shooting, which took place on Feb. 17 at around 11:37 a.m on Ferry Street (between Peck Street and English Street).
The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital by a private vehicle before officers arrived. He is currently listed in critical condition, officers said.

Police didn't identify him, but said he is a New Haven resident.
Detectives from the police department's Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation, police said, and members of the Bureau of Identification collected ballistic evidence at the crime scene.

"Police ask that any witnesses who have not yet spoken with the Police contact the New Haven Police Department Investigative Services Division at 203-946-6304," officers said in a news release. "Callers may remain anonymous or submit tips anonymously by calling 1-866-888-TIPS(8477), or text 'NHPD plus your message' to 274637 (CRIMES)."
