Man Tries To Light Police Department On Fire: New Haven Police
"As officers approached, he was actively flicking a lighter trying to ignite the fluid..." police said.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A man is accused of trying to set police headquarters on fire, police said.
At 7:21 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to their own headquarters at 1 Union Ave. after a man was seen pouring lighter fluid on the front door, police said.
The man was quickly taken into custody, police said.

"As officers approached, he was actively flicking a lighter trying to ignite the fluid and yelling things like "burn it down," police said.
Jose Delgado, 44, is charged with first-degree breach of peace and criminal attempt to commit first-degree arson. He was taken to court.
