Here's Elicker's full letter:

Dear Neighbors, Every great city needs to have great infrastructure to help residents, workers, and visitors commute affordably, safely and easily around the city to get where they need to go.In New Haven, we’re working hard on making that a reality and the past few months have been filled with exciting news and projects to help ensure our streets are safe for all users – pedestrians, cyclists, public transportation users, and motorists.New sidewalks, bike lanes, roads and public transportation improvements are happening all across the city. Much of this work is anchored in our Complete Streets initiative and our Safe Routes for All plan, which we adopted in 2022 and is a comprehensive effort to reorient our transportation system away from a car-centric model to one that is more inclusive of walking, biking, riding public transportation and other active modes of transportation. The end result is safer, healthier, greener, and more equitable commuting options for residents. These efforts have been marked by deep collaboration with the community and incredible partners on the local, state, and federal levels of government to help secure millions of dollars in funding for these projects.Below you can learn more about a few of the recent projects that have been underway these past few months. Plus, there are a few other time sensitive items and events that might be of interest as well!
See you around the city!
