New Haven Cops Announce Arrest Of Man, 40, Who Keyed A Tesla

US AG Pam Bondi said vandalism targeting Elon Musk's Tesla cars is "domestic terrorism." The NHPD charged the local man with a misdemeanor.

NEW HAVEN, CT — In early March, a Tesla owner reported their car had been vandalized while in the Temple Street garage.

Now, cops say a New Haven man has been charged with second-degree criminal mischief for damage to the vehicle.

According to New Haven police, the driver, and passenger side doors were keyed, causing an estimated $500 to $2,000 in damage. "Cameras from the Tesla captured images of the vandal," police said.

An arrest warrant was issued for 40-year-old Conor Perreault, police said.

Perreault turned himself in to police April 16.
