New Haven Crack Cocaine Dealer Gets 28 Months In Prison: Feds

Devaro Taylor, 35, of New Haven, arrested in 2021, was found in possession of 124 grams of cocaine, 226 grams of crack, $6K in cash: Feds

NEW HAVEN, CT — A U.S. District Court judge handed Devaro Taylor, 35, of New Haven, a 28-month prison term for crack distribution, according to David X. Sullivan, U.S. Attorney for Connecticut.

According to Sullivan, court documents and statements made in court, between September and December 2020, FBI’s New Haven Safe Streets/Gang Task Force and New Haven Police Department investigators made controlled purchases of crack cocaine from Taylor.

A court-authorized wiretap of Taylor’s phone revealed that he sold powder and crack cocaine to numerous drug customers in New Haven, Sullivan said.

When Taylor was arrested in January 2021, a search of his residence revealed approximately 124 grams of cocaine, approximately 226 grams of crack cocaine, and $6,702 in cash, Sullivan said. In December 2021, Taylor pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute cocaine base, aka crack.
