NEW HAVEN, CT — Just before 6 p.m. Monday, cops got a Shotspotter alert activation in the area of 391 Foxon Blvd., New Haven police spokesperson, officer Christian Bruckhart said. When officers arrived, they found a gunshot victim and learned that a restaurant nearby and a passing vehicle were also struck by gunfire, Bruckhart said. The victim, a 20-year-old New Haven resident, was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where his injuries were deemed non-life threatening by hospital staff, police said. Officers located ballistic evidence in the area and "people involved" were interviewed, Bruckhart said. Police ask that anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information valuable to investigators to call detectives at 203-946-6304 or through the department's anonymous tip-line at 866-888-TIPS (8477).
