New Haven Man, 42, Fatally Gunned Down Overnight Monday In Fair Haven

At 1:38 a.m. Monday, 911 calls, Shotspotter brought cops to Ferry and Wolcott streets where Peter Arroyo was suffering from gunshot wounds.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Shortly before 1 a.m. Monday, cops got a ShotSpotter notification that several shots had been fired, and at the same time, received multiple 911 calls about gunfire in the area of Wolcott and Ferry streets, New Haven police spokesperson officer Christian Bruckhart said.

When police got there, they found a man on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds, he said.

Later identified as Peter Arroyo, 42, of New Haven, he was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he died, Bruckhart said.

Police said ballistic evidence was located on the scene and detectives responded to the scene and are working to develop a suspect.
