New Haven Man, 47, Killed In Weekend Double Shooting ID'd By Police
Cops said Marquel Lewis died from a gunshot wound, and a second victim, a 20-year-old New Haven man, suffered a gunshot wound to the foot.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 47-year-old man was killed and another was injured in a Friday night shooting in New Haven, authorities said. Monday, police identified the man killed as Marquel Lewis, of New Haven.
Following a ShotSpotter alert, police went to Clover Place between Truman Street and Washington Avenue shortly before 11:40 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the man now identified as New Haven resident Lewis, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, he died from his injuries, police said.

Soon after, police said a second victim, identified as a 20-year-old New Haven man, walked into the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his foot. He told police he was injured in a shooting on Clover Place, police said.
