New Haven Man, 56, Injured In Daytime Apparent Drive-By Shooting: NHPD

Cops working an extra duty detail near Aner Street and Lexington Avenue heard multiple gunshots and a vehicle driving away, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Monday afternoon around 1 p.m., cops working an extra duty detail in the area of Aner Street and Lexington Avenue heard multiple gunshots and a vehicle driving away from the area, police posted to "X."

The officers found a car with bullet holes on Eldridge Street with a gunshot victim, a 56-year-old New Haven man, inside, and he was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injures, police said.

Investigators spoke to "people involved" and found bullet evidence, police said.
