New Haven Man Dies After Being Shot In Bridgeport: Police

NEW HAVEN, CT — Jahseim Cherry, A 22-year-old New Haven resident, has died from injuries he sustained in an Oct. 20 shooting in Bridgeport, according to Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Gilleran.

Cherry had been in critical condition following the shooting, which took place on Goddard Avenue.

"The Bridgeport Police Department offers their sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Jahseim," Gilleran said in a statement.

The Bridgeport Police Department is asking for the public's help in solving the crime. Anyone with information is asked to contact the case officer, Detective Jeffrey Holtz, at 203-581-5243.
