New Haven Man With Many Warrants, Drugs Arrested At Restaurant: NHPD
Dining out in North Haven, Richard Barnett, 37, out on $874K in bond, had 4 warrants, and when arrested at eatery, had fentanyl, crack: PD.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A New Haven man, 37, was arrested Friday at a North Haven restaurant on outstanding warrants, and when picked up had crack and fentanyl packaged for sale, police said.
In a post to "X," police said detectives assigned to the Criminal Intelligence Unit learned that Richard Barnett, known to have several outstanding warrants, was at the eatery.
Police said he was "apprehended as he left the restaurant without incident."

Barnett was found to have four outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court with bond amounts totaling $875,000, police said. And, when arrested, had around 37 grams of crack and fentanyl ready to sell, police said.
In addition to the warrants, he was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of narcotics with the intent to sell, police said.

According to court records, Barnett was out on bail for myriad charges from 2024 and as recent as February for several possession of narcotics with the intent to sell charges. Now held at the New Haven jail, his bond is set at $900,000, state corrections records show.
