New Haven Man Pleads Guilty To Narcotics Trafficking: Feds
Joshuwa Diaz, 34, faces up to 20 years in prison for distributing cocaine, crack, and fentanyl, per the acting US Attorney for CT.
NEW HAVEN, CT —Joshuwa Diaz, 34, of New Haven, recently pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to a narcotics trafficking offense, Marc H. Silverman, Acting U.S. Attorney for Connecticut, announced.
According to Silverman, court documents and statements made in court, Diaz was arrested on Feb. 16, 2024, after a court-authorized search of his apartment on Orange Street in New Haven found around 75 grams of fentanyl, 278 grams of cocaine, 47 grams of crack cocaine, and a loaded P80 handgun with no serial number, also known as a ghost gun.
Diaz pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine, crack, and fentanyl, Silverman said. Out on a $50,000 bond, when sentenced on May 7, he faces up to 20 years in prison, the federal prosecutor noted.

In April 2013, Diaz was sentenced in New Haven federal court to 78 months in prison for distributing heroin.
