New Haven Named Top 'Trending' Global Destination By Skyscanner Travel Site

NEW HAVEN, CT — New Haven joins Madeira, Spain, Vail, Colorado and Mykonos, Greece as the "best places on the rise" to visit, according to travel site Skyscanner.

The e-zine's "2026 Trending Destinations," describes the Elm City as being a charming New England city, home to the "prestigious" Yale University, a vibrant cultural scene with "world-class museuems," and a foodies' nirvana, from apizza to fine dining.

The travel site notes New Haven is home to the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History and Yale University Art Gallery are "both among America’s oldest." As well as the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library, "known for its Instagram-worthy enclosed glass book tower."
