New Haven Police Investigating 2 Non-Fatal Overnight Shootings
A late-night Poplar St. shooting and a 3 a.m. shooting on Level and Lodge streets left two New Haven men with non-fatal gunshot wounds: NHPD

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating two non-fatal shootings overnight; one shortly before 11 p.m., and the other just after 3 a.m., according to a post on "X."
At 10:35, cops were called to a Poplar Street address for a report of a "large fight" and a person who had been shot, the post reads. When they go there, police found a 43-year-old New Haven man suffering from gunshot wounds. Taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, he "immediately went into surgery" and his condition was listed as stable but critical, police said.
Several hours later, at 3;15 a.m., police were summoned to the Saint Raphael campus of Yale new Haven Hospital for the report of a gunshot victim who arrived at the emergency department in a private car. A 20-year-old from New Haven was shot in the area of Level and Lodge streets, police said. His injuries were determined to be non-life threatening, police said.

There's "no indication" that the shootings were connected, police said.
