New Technology Helping New Haven Police, Businesses
A new tech tool is helping both New Have Police and businesses.

NEW HAVEN--The New Haven Police Department has a new tech tool this is aiming to catch thieves and assist business owners with reporting crimes.
The LeadsOnline tool is now in use by New Haven PD, along with neighboring communities including: Branford, Clinton, East Haven, Madison, North Branford, North Haven, Orange, Woodbridge and the Yale University Campus Police Departments.
The latest technology "is the link between investigators and missing items," according to the New Haven Police Department's statement.

The program allows police to track stolen goods, including an EBay search tool.
“It’s a national system similar to NESPIN (New England State Police Information Network) but with advance features”, Detective Joseph Aurora, the department’s Pawn/ Scrap Metal expert said. “This is a user-friendly program and has many components beneficial to Law Enforcement, businesses and the public."
