Obituary: James “Jimmy” Stadnicki, 70, of New Haven
Kind and gentle with a big heart, a Yankees fan, he was an Air Force veteran and 30-year USPS worker who enjoyed music and stamp collecting.
James “Jimmy” Stadnicki, 70, of New Haven passed away October 11, 2023 at home. He was born September 15, 1953 in New Haven to Michael and Ewdokia (Koryliuk) Stadnicki. James is survived by his brother, William Stadnicki (widow of Sophia) of New Haven and a cousin, Alexandra Altrui (Christopher) and his nieces, Stephanie and Tanya Altrui all of Branford. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Walter Stadnicki.
James was a proud US Air Force veteran and retired employee of the US Postal Service with over 30 years of service starting out in New Haven. He enjoyed music, watching the Yankees and collecting coins and stamps. Jimmy was known to live a very simple life, without excess or extravagance. He always looked forward to spending the holidays with the Altrui family. Jimmy was a kind and gentle man with a big heart, he will be greatly missed by his brother, family and all who loved him.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 9 A.M. till 10:30 A.M. in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home & Cremation Service (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. His funeral procession will then leave for an 11 A.M. Funeral Liturgy in St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church, 569 George Street, New Haven with burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven with Full US Air Force Military Honors.
